Hello again readers, its time to get the ball rolling for strategies, I think I have put you through enough theory to date, its time for game plan for your link building.

Reciprocal Linking
In the past, the reciprocal links were the number 1 in the search engine optimization process. At present, their influence is reduced, yet they can still help improve your site/blog rank. Building links is a challenging process, and reciprocal links are often the easiest ones to acquire, especially for new brand sites/blogs.

From the other hand, keep in mind that the reciprocal links are now considered less valuable than one way links. So you shouldn't rely on them much. I recommend that reciprocal links make no more than 25% of the total amount of your inbound links. Swap the links only with the sites that are related to the theme of your page. Remember that you are trying to build as natural looking links as possible, and nothing can seem more artificial to search engines than the links between two quite unrelated sites.

For example, reciprocal links between the site on home design and the site on gardening are ok. There is the relationship (content) between those site. But the reciprocal links between the site on home design and the site related to SEO is not a good idea. The search engines will suspect the "agreement" between the sites to swap the links in order to increase the sites' page ranks.

So when exchanging links, you believe that the pages you are linking to from your site/blog will be a good source of information for your own visitors. If you have a legitimate reason to reciprocate links besides just the intent to increase your PageRank in search engines, you are leess likely to be penalized for that reciprocal link.

Although the reciprocal links are considered as the second-class links by the search engines, they are still valuable because of the traffic they will send to your site. If the linking page is able to send you targeted traffic at least, you'll always get benefits of relatively targeted traffic from it.

Thanks for reading, on a side note to anyone who has been leaving Google bookmarks for this site I thank you profusely. They have gone from 2 to 10 in the last week, and thats incredible. This is giving me great residual and free optimization, so really thank you, you are paying it forward by doing that, and thats the principle I swear by. Take care everyone. See you on Twitter maybe?
